Abstract
This special issue of Journal of Graph Algorithms and Applications (JGAA) is dedicated to selected papers presented at the 14th International Workshop on Algorithms and Computation (WALCOM 2020), which was originally planned to be held in Singapore, but due to COVID-19 pandemic, it was finally held online, during March 31 – April 2, 2020. WALCOM is an annual conference series on all aspects of algorithms and computation and WALCOM 2020 marked the 14th successful organization of this event. In WALCOM 2020, 23 full papers and 4 short papers were selected from 69 submission based on thorough reviewing by independent experts followed by in depth discussion sessions by the Program Committee. As per the tradition of WALCOM, the proceedings of WALCOM 2020 were published at Volume 12049 of the LNCS series of Springer. Extended and revised versions of three top quality papers of WALCOM 2020 have been considered for inclusion in this special issue based on their merits and relevance to JGAA. The invited papers have been rigorously reviewed following the standard refereeing process of JGAA. This special issue contains three very high quality papers covering diverse topics in Graph Algorithms and Applications. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the authors for contributing their high-quality papers, to the reviewers for their excellent work that led to further improvements, and to the Editors of the Journal of Graph Algorithms and Applications for making this special issue possible. We also thank the support of the Institute for Mathematical Sciences and the School of Computing, National University of Singapore who organize WALCOM 2020.
