Title: | PT Symmetry vs. Hermiticity | Authors: | Wang, Q. | Keywords: | Matrix PT-symmetric quantum mechanics |
Issue Date: | Apr-2011 | Citation: | Wang, Q. (2011-04). PT Symmetry vs. Hermiticity. International Journal of Theoretical Physics 50 (4) : 1005-1011. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1007/s10773-010-0607-8 | Abstract: | The relation between the PT symmetry and Hermiticity is discussed. In the finitedimensional linear space, any Hermitian matrix is a special case of PT -symmetric matrices. Explicit results in 2 × 2 are shown. The early belief that the PT -symmetric quantum mechanics is a generalization of the conventional Hermitian quantum mechanics is confirmed. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC. | Source Title: | International Journal of Theoretical Physics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/97649 | ISSN: | 00207748 | DOI: | 10.1007/s10773-010-0607-8 |
