Title: | Far-infrared absorption spectra of doped quantum well structures | Authors: | Jiang, P. Kok, W.C. |
Issue Date: | 1-Aug-2001 | Citation: | Jiang, P., Kok, W.C. (2001-08-01). Far-infrared absorption spectra of doped quantum well structures. Journal of Applied Physics 90 (3) : 1271-1274. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1383261 | Abstract: | Infrared absorption line profiles associated with transitions between the 1s-like ground state and 2p_ excited state of hydrogenic donors in a quantum well are calculated for x-polarized radiation. Various types of dopant distribution are considered as in the experimental studies. Similarity is drawn between the calculated quasi-Lorentzian line shapes and one derived from a transmission spectrum for a central 1/3 barrier doped multiple quantum well sample. Effects in a magnetic field applied perpendicular to the layers are also investigated and compared with experiment. © 2001 American Institute of Physics. | Source Title: | Journal of Applied Physics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/96606 | ISSN: | 00218979 | DOI: | 10.1063/1.1383261 |
