Abstract: The radial Schrödinger equation is solved for the screened Coulomb potential with use of a power-series expansion for the wave function. For given n and l, the energy eigenvalue can be obtained to arbitrary order in the screening parameter; the coefficients of expansion for the corresponding radial wave function are deduced from a recursion relation between the various expansion coefficients which is in general dependent on the energy eigenvalue. © 1987 The American Physical Society.
