Issue Date: | 14-Mar-1997 | Citation: | Hrbek, J.,Li, S.Y.,Rodriguez, J.A.,Van Campen, D.G.,Huang, H.H.,Xu, G.-Q. (1997-03-14). Synthesis of sulfur films from S2 gas: Spectroscopic evidence for the formation of Sn species. Chemical Physics Letters 267 (1-2) : 65-71. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Thin films of molecular sulfur were prepared by the deposition of S2 gas from an electrochemical doser on single crystal metal surfaces kept at temperatures below 250 K. These films were characterized by XPS, UPS, TDS and IRAS, and were found to be stable up to 390 K even under UHV conditions. Cyclooctasulfur S8 was identified as one of the sulfur molecules present. | Source Title: | Chemical Physics Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/95130 | ISSN: | 00092614 |
