Abstract: A semiempirical framework for the theory of stripping voltammetry at the wall-jet electrode is described based on a thin-layer approximation. Experimental results show that the theory holds for the irreversible stripping of very thin mercury films of the order of a monolayer. This study shows one of the advantages of the wall-jet electrode: namely, the ability to perform the preelectrolysis and stripping steps in different sample streams.
