Abstract: Transformation in a shell: Ion exchange is used for the fabrication of multishelled inorganic hollow materials. The transformation of solid Cu 2O to Cu 2S hollow spheres is investigated as a model reaction (see picture; PVP=poly(vinylpyrrolidone)). Copyright © 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
