Abstract: We report the simple and versatile molten salt fabrication of mesoporous anatase TiO2 nanoparticles with a high surface area of ∼200 m2 g-1, which show an impressive efficiency of ∼7.5% in dye-sensitized solar cells. © 2012 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
