ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1002/apj.50 | Abstract: | In this experimental study, chemical heat pump (CHP) characteristics for heat storage and heat release in repetitive operation were examined. The input/output heat of the CHP in repetitive operation was found to be controlled by the special pressure adjustment procedure such as instant vacuuming or additional vacuuming for pressuretemperature control of the CHP reactor. In the case of the CaO/H2O/Ca(OH)2 hydration/dehydration system, the CHP is found to produce controlled-temperature hot/cold heat in a repetitive operation using chemically stored energy during both heat-storing and heat-releasing steps. © 2007 Curtin University of Technology and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. | Source Title: | Asia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/84938 | ISSN: | 19322135 | DOI: | 10.1002/apj.50 |
