Title: | Performance of PHY and MAC layers of a bluetooth piconet in multi-Bluetooth interference environment | Authors: | Feng, W. Nallanathan, A. Garg, H.K. |
Issue Date: | 2004 | Citation: | Feng, W.,Nallanathan, A.,Garg, H.K. (2004). Performance of PHY and MAC layers of a bluetooth piconet in multi-Bluetooth interference environment. GLOBECOM - IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference 6 : 3614-3618. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Operating in the 2.4 GHz unlicensed ISM band, a Bluetooth piconet will inevitably encounter the interference from other Bluetooth piconets. In literatures, it has been focused mainly on the analysis of collision probability (P c) of a Bluetooth packet. But the destructive effect of packet collisions could be mitigated by the attenuation introduced by the propagation distance. In this paper, we present a method to compute the packet error rate (PER) over distance in the presence of multiple Bluetooth piconets. The numerical results give insights on how to choose optimum packet type in a multi-Bluetooth interference environment. © 2004 IEEE. | Source Title: | GLOBECOM - IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/84079 |
