ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1049/el:20081980 | Abstract: | A low-noise amplifier (LNA) for the lower ultra wideband (UWB) communication bandwidth (3.1-4.8GHz) utilising area and power efficient active inductor implementation is presented. A loss regulated active inductor structure is used to realise shunt peaking inductances, which enable the design to attain a tunable peak S21 of 14.85dB with a -3dB bandwidth of 2.75-4.9GHz. Implemented in 0.18m CMOS technology with a 1V supply voltage, the LNA core consumes 7.1mA while occupying an area of only 0.05mm2. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2008. | Source Title: | Electronics Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/81828 | ISSN: | 00135194 | DOI: | 10.1049/el:20081980 |
