Issue Date: | 2013 | Citation: | Zong, Y., Hor, T.S.A. (2013). The 3rd Molecular Materials Meeting (M3) @ Singapore. Australian Journal of Chemistry 66 (9) : 993-996. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1071/CH13430 | Abstract: | The 3rd Molecular Materials Meeting (M3) was successfully held at Biopolis in Singapore from January 14-16, 2013. The event focused mainly on contributions in research of nanoparticles and organic energy materials. Papers on organic semiconductor research focused on the structure-property relationship that leads to design and synthesis of high performance molecular materials, such as heterocyclic dyes for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells, phenyl-1Hpyrrole end-capped thiophenes for organic field-effect transistors, and pyridine incorporated dihexylquaterthiophene as blue emitter in organic light emitting diode applications. Researchers from the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, Singapore introduced a new dinuclear Cu(II) complex with 1,2,3-triazoles of a chelate-bridging mode. Their paper demonstrates the potential of using heterocyclic triazoles to support magnetically active dinuclear Cu(II) complexes. | Source Title: | Australian Journal of Chemistry | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/77495 | ISSN: | 00049425 | DOI: | 10.1071/CH13430 |
