Title: | Thermogravimetric study of the thermal stability of poly(vinyl chloride)/poly(vinyl acetate) blends | Authors: | Goh, S.H. | Issue Date: | 26-Feb-1993 | Citation: | Goh, S.H. (1993-02-26). Thermogravimetric study of the thermal stability of poly(vinyl chloride)/poly(vinyl acetate) blends. Thermochimica Acta 215 (C) : 291-296. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | The thermal stability of poly(vinyl chloride)/poly(vinyl acetate) blends was studied by thermogravimetry. Blends were prepared by solution-casting from tetrahydrofuran (THF) and 2-butanone (MEK). The stability of the blends is different from that predicted by the additivity rule. The dehydrochlorination and deacetylation of MEK-cast blends are faster than those of THF-cast blends because of the different degrees of mixing of the blends. © 1993. | Source Title: | Thermochimica Acta | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/77283 | ISSN: | 00406031 |
