Issue Date: | 17-Aug-2006 | Citation: | Wang, J., Uttamchandani, M., Li, J., Hu, M., Yao, S.Q. (2006-08-17). Rapid assembly of matrix metalloprotease inhibitors using click chemistry. Organic Letters 8 (17) : 3821-3824. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1021/ol061431a | Abstract: | A panel of 96 metalloprotease inhibitors was assembled using "click chemistry" by reacting eight zinc-binding hydroxamate warheads with 12 azide building blocks. Screens of the bidentate compounds against representative metalloproteases provided discerning inhibition fingerprints, revealing compounds with low micromolar potency against MMP-7. The relative ease and convenience of the strategy in constructing focused chemical libraries for rapid in situ screening of MMPs is thereby demonstrated. © 2006 American Chemical Society. | Source Title: | Organic Letters | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/76853 | ISSN: | 15237060 | DOI: | 10.1021/ol061431a |
