Abstract: (Matrix presented) Contrary to what was reported, the coupling reaction of nickel-catalyzed cyclic diene such as cyclohexadiene with carbonyl compounds in the presence of diethyl zinc afforded γ,δ-alkenyl alcohols in good yields.
