Abstract: Poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) (PVP) forms miscible blends with poly(chloromethyl methacrylate) and poly(2-chloroethyl methacrylate). However, blends of PVP with poly(methyl methacrylate) and poly(ethyl methacrylate) are immiscible. The result illustrates the importance of chlorine in achieving miscibility with PVP.
