Abstract: On the basis of a dual-amplification strategy, microRNA (miRNA) hybridization amplification by a duplex-specific nuclease (DSN) and signal amplification by a DNAzyme, a highly sensitive and selective homogeneous miRNA assay is developed. By leveraging on the cumulative and selective nature of the DSN amplification process, excellent sensitivity and selectivity are accomplished. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
