Abstract: A novel microgravimetric gene sensing system has been developed using an oligonucleotide anchored on the gold electrode of a quartz crystal microbalance and an Au nanoparticle modified oligonucleotide, both of which formed a sandwich-type ternary complex with the target DNA to give an amplified frequency response.
