Title: | MULTIPLE TUNNEL INTERACTION PROBLEM. | Authors: | Lee, S.L. Lo, K.W. Chow, Y.K. |
Issue Date: | 1985 | Citation: | Lee, S.L.,Lo, K.W.,Chow, Y.K. (1985). MULTIPLE TUNNEL INTERACTION PROBLEM. 4 : 1851-1858. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Some analyses on multiple tunnel-ground interaction at a selected section of the Singapore mass rapid transit system are presented. Two extreme cases of tunnel support are modelled, from which actual behavior may be inferred: a stiff lining for which peripheral ground yield is prevented; and a highly flexible, compressible lining. Linear elastic isoparamteric finite elements interconnected at corner nodes constitute the analytical model, although some effects of plastic flow in the soil medium described in an earlier publication are also included for comparison. Various findings of practical interest are discussed. | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/74256 | ISBN: | 9061915848 |
