Title: | Structure and properties of Mg metal-metal composite | Authors: | Lu, L. Lai, M.O. Froyen, L. |
Keywords: | Mechanical Milling Mechanical Properties Metal-Metal Composites |
Issue Date: | 2002 | Citation: | Lu, L.,Lai, M.O.,Froyen, L. (2002). Structure and properties of Mg metal-metal composite. Key Engineering Materials 230-232 : 287-290. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Mg10.3%Ti and Mg5%Al10.3%Ti metal-metal composites have been fabricated using mechanical milling. Strain to failure was found to have dramatically increased from 2.6% to 41.7% after the milling process. The increase in strain to failure is associated to the smaller grain size. Fractograph study shows ductile failure. | Source Title: | Key Engineering Materials | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/73878 | ISSN: | 10139826 |
