Abstract: This paper investigates the performance enhancement of a newly designed stack ultrasonic motor by using PZNPT material. Based on the numerical simulations, it is concluded that PZNPT can greatly improve the mechanical performance of the motor. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
