IEEE Transactions on Magnetics 40 (4 II) : 3174-3176. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1109/TMAG.2004.833420 | Abstract: | Dynamic characteristics of a microactuator have been simulated using finite-element numerical analysis. Based on numerical simulations, the response surface method (RSM) is used to optimize the spring parameters for the determination of suitable in-plane and out-of-plane natural frequencies of vibrations. Optimization of designs resulted in reduced voltage supply requirement to drive the recording head, and the reliability of the microactuator has also been enhanced. | Source Title: | IEEE Transactions on Magnetics | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/71778 | ISSN: | 00189464 | DOI: | 10.1109/TMAG.2004.833420 |
