Abstract: The prediction of electromagnetic scattering from rough surface and subsurface targets has been a problem of long-term interest. To date, no investigation has been reported concerning the electromagnetic scattering by partially buried cylinders at the dielectric rough surface interface between two media. This problem is discussed, by means of the method of moments (MoM) with point-matching and pulse basis functions.
