Abstract: Modeling of a planar dipole array backed by a ground plane within an electrically large radome is performed using the image theory and an efficient hybrid technique based on the integral equation method and high-frequency approximation. The current distributions on the surface of the radome-enclosed array are obtained, from which the radiation pattern and input impedance of the array can be determined. © 2005 IEEE.
