Abstract: A new method to improve the bandwidth of the planar volcano-smoke antenna (PVSA) is proposed. The bandwidth is improved by the addition of "T" protrusions along the slot of the conventional PVSA. Two variations of our proposed antennas is fabricated and superior performances as compared to the conventional PVSA have been achieved. ©2005 IEEE.
