Title: | FRM based FIR filter design - The WLS approach | Authors: | Yu, Y.J. Lim, Y.C. |
Issue Date: | 2002 | Citation: | Yu, Y.J.,Lim, Y.C. (2002). FRM based FIR filter design - The WLS approach. Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems 3 : III/221-III/224. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Frequency-response masking (FRM) technique produces a filter network which comprises several sub-filters with very sparse coefficient values. If the sub-filters are optimized seperately, the overall filter network will be suboptimal. In this paper, an unconstrained weighted least squares algorithm for simultaneously optimizing the sub-filters generated by the frequency-response masking technique is presented. Simulation runs show that our proposed technique produces significant reduction in the effective filter length. | Source Title: | Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/70386 | ISSN: | 02714310 |
