Abstract: This paper reports results obtained in an investigation to see how increasing the SiC dispersoid content from 0% to 15% in a matrix of aluminum alloy affects the mechanical properties of the composite. The results show that as the SiC Content is increased, the tensile strength, compressive strength. Young's Modulus of Elasticity, surface hardness, as well as the wear resistance, increase remarkably, whereas the ductility drops significantly.
