Abstract: This paper presents the use of a finite element formulation for the analysis of reinforced steel fibre concrete beams under predominant flexure. The analysis is based on a secant stiffness formulation, using appropriate constitutive relations for cracked steel fibre concrete. Comparison with the available experimental results shows that, the analytical model predicts well the mode of failure, ultimate load and also the complete behaviour of reinforced steel fibre concrete beams. © 1994.
