Some of these values originate from the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. This article presents selections of Gandhi's teachings and philosophy that are germane to modern- day business management, especially for multinational corporations operating in India. It serves to help foreign managers understand India's culture and work values, as well as offer guidelines for successful total quality management. Three of India's national-level quality awards are used to present the essential concepts of total quality. | Source Title: | Journal of Human Values | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/63141 | ISSN: | 09716858 | DOI: | 10.1177/097168580200800203 |
