Abstract: Implementation of a Disk Drive Servomechanism using a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is discussed in this paper. A seem controller for Voice Coil Motor (VCM) which eliminates the control chattering and reduces the high frequency flexible modes excitation is discussed. Results are presented which show that effectiveness of the controller.
