Title: | Application of evolutionary computation for machine design optimization | Authors: | Srinivasan, D. Liew, A.C. Lim, K.L. |
Issue Date: | Sep-1999 | Citation: | Srinivasan, D.,Liew, A.C.,Lim, K.L. (1999-09). Application of evolutionary computation for machine design optimization. International Journal of Engineering Intelligent Systems for Electrical Engineering and Communications 7 (3) : 127-130. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Machine optimizations are characterized by many non-commensurable and often competing objectives to be optimized. This paper presents an evolutionary algorithm (EA) based software environment for multi-objective optimal design of electromagnetic devices. The main consideration is to produce a strong, inexpensive and lightweight structure that is capable of giving the required performance. The software environment allows the users to choose from a variety of EA parameters. The paper presents the results obtained from variation of several combinations of these parameters tested on a salient machine design problem. | Source Title: | International Journal of Engineering Intelligent Systems for Electrical Engineering and Communications | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/61848 | ISSN: | 09691170 |
