Abstract: A novel concept of micro power system, thermo photovoltaic system, is proposed. Micro combustor is the key component of this system. In order to obtain relatively high efficiency, uniform temperature distribution along the wall of combustor is needed. Scale effects have significant influence on the persistent combustion in micro combustor. Various experiments have been done to analyses the feasibility of combustion in micro combustor. The results indicate that steady combustion can be kept in micro flame tube and high temperature can be kept along the wall.
