Title: | Practical aspects of {111} trace analysis | Authors: | Fong, H.S. | Issue Date: | Apr-1990 | Citation: | Fong, H.S. (1990-04). Practical aspects of {111} trace analysis. Materials Characterization 24 (3) : 229-244. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | Problems arise in the use of {111} surface traces for grain orientation determinations because the measured directions of the traces in a real situation do not usually correspond to a perfect delineation of {111} planes but may deviate to a small extent from this because of measurement limitations and other causes. Because of this, the derived orientation will be in error. The size and nature of this error and the approach to adopt for minimizing this error are the subjects of this article. © 1990. | Source Title: | Materials Characterization | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/58625 | ISSN: | 10445803 |
