Abstract: In this paper, integration intervals are specifically chosen such that the resulting integral equation of a continuous delay system with nonzero initial conditions and a pulse input is greatly simplified. This enables easy and decoupled identification of the system parameters in two steps. The effectiveness of the identification method is demonstrated through simulation and real-time implementation. © 2005 American Chemical Society.
