Abstract: This paper presents the development of a 'mechatronic' experiment on the development of an intelligent vibration monitoring system for remote vibration signature analysis via the Internet. It will highlight the operational principles of the system, and the hardware and software requirements for the implementation of the system on the Internet to enable remote monitoring and fault diagnosis. Specific outcomes and screen snapshots at key stages of the experiment will also be provided.
