Title: | A microcomputer based data acquisition system for hot wire anemometry | Authors: | Chew, Y.T. Ha, S.M. |
Issue Date: | Jul-1988 | Citation: | Chew, Y.T.,Ha, S.M. (1988-07). A microcomputer based data acquisition system for hot wire anemometry. Journal of Microcomputer Applications 11 (3) : 195-209. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | A microcomputer based data acquisition system for hot wire anemometry has been developed as an alternative to conventional analogue systems. The system is capable of acquiring data on four channels simultaneously at acquisition rates of up to 13 kHz with 12 bit resolution. Subsequent processing of the data is performed by software and enables the calculation of mean velocity, Reynolds normal and shear stresses, autocorrelation coefficient, integral time and length scales, and Fast Fourier Transform of the turbulence quantities. Compared with the conventional analogue systems, the digital system offers significant advantages in cost, flexibility, convenience, and immunity from electrical noise and drift. © 1988. | Source Title: | Journal of Microcomputer Applications | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/54378 | ISSN: | 07457138 |
