Abstract: This paper presents the development and implementation of a prototype knowledge-based predictive process controller. The development of the various knowledge sources used are discussed, and design features of the prototype implementation are described. Application of the prototype knowledge-based predictive process controller to a fluid-level control problem in real-time experiments is shown in a sample session in the paper. © 1994.
