Abstract: The microarray platform can be used in high-capacity, high-throughput screening tool for discoverying the small molecule inhibitor for the protein-protein interaction. In chapter 2, by using a small molecular microarray as a high-throughput screening platform, we have successfully discovered two potent inhibitors of cathepsin L. In chapter 3, a fragment-based small molecule library for BRCA1 BRCT domains has been developed and discovered the first cell-permeable small molecule.
