Title: | A new frequency-response masking structure with reduced complexity for FIR filter design | Authors: | Lian, Y. | Issue Date: | 2001 | Citation: | Lian, Y. (2001). A new frequency-response masking structure with reduced complexity for FIR filter design. Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems 2 : II609-II612. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. | Abstract: | A new method to reduce the number of multipliers in design of sharp FIR filter by frequency-response masking(FRM) technique is presented. The success of the proposed method is based on a modified FRM approach where one of the subfilters in FRM approach is implemented by prefilter-equalizer technique. We have shown by example that the proposed method yields additional savings of 20% in the number of multipliers compared to the original FRM approach. | Source Title: | Proceedings - IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/51090 | ISSN: | 02714310 |
