Abstract: This study examines Korean family caregivers' strain patterns, the role of cultural influence on these strain patterns, and the strain patterns' impact on caregivers' well-being. In light of cultural views of caregiving, caregivers' autonomy in decision-making and attachment to care recipients determined their psychological well-being and significantly moderated the impact of caregiving strains on caregivers' life satisfaction and depression. More tailored interventions should consider the cultural values of family caregivers.
