Title: | Key, chord, and rhythm tracking of popular music recordings | Authors: | Shenoy, A. Wang, Y. |
Issue Date: | 2005 | Citation: | Shenoy, A., Wang, Y. (2005). Key, chord, and rhythm tracking of popular music recordings. Computer Music Journal 29 (3) : 75-86. ScholarBank@NUS Repository. https://doi.org/10.1162/0148926054798205 | Abstract: | A framework to determine the key, chords, and hierarchical rhythm structure from acoustic musical signals is introduced. The framework is the first attempt to use a rule-based approach that combines low-level features with high-level music knowledge of rhythm and harmonic structure to determine all three of these dimensions of music. Overall, the framework provides a promising platform for the future development of more sophisticated auditory models based on a better understanding of music. | Source Title: | Computer Music Journal | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/39555 | ISSN: | 01489267 | DOI: | 10.1162/0148926054798205 |
