Abstract: This thesis aimed at improving the storage performances of some potential high storage capacity phosphate-based cathode materials, particularly LiFePO4, a-Li3V2(PO4)3, a-LiVOPO4 and LiFe1/3Mn1/3Co1/3PO4 for lithium-ion battery applications by developing the materials in porous nanostructures via soft template and solvothermal methods. The study involved the synthesis and characterization of the studied materials, fabrication of their electrodes and batteries as well as systematic investigation of their electrochemical performances.
