Abstract: The research work investigates the problem of image blurring caused by motion during image capture process of text documents. Such blurring prevents proper optical character recognition of the document text contents. One area of such applications is the name card images obtained from handheld cameras. In this thesis, a complete motion deblurring procedure has been proposed. The method handles both uniform linear motion blur and uniform acceleration motion blur. Experiments on artificial and real world blurred images prove the feasibility and reliability of this algorithm. Besides, a detail error analysis on the results is presented.
