Abstract: Transparent conductive thin films (TCFs) are optically transparent and electrically conductive in thin layers. They are essential for modern optoelectronic industry and have been utilized in applications. Currently, magnetron sputtered ITO thin films are the driving horse in industry, which has become increasing expensive due to shortage of indium reservoirs and high processing cost. As a result, a great deal of research has been conducted in order to find new materials to reduce or eliminate the usage of indium and a robust wet chemical deposition process. In this thesis, we prepared and investigated a few tin based transparent conductive materials, including antimony doped tin oxide and zinc tin oxide. After deposition, the antimony doped tin oxide nanoparticles thin film showed good optoelectrical properties. The results provided a much more realistic and economical way to massively produce large area TCFs which could therefore promote the emergence of new designs and applications.
