Abstract: The ability to transform carbon dioxide into commodity chemicals, especially under mild conditions, has drawn much attention and research in the area of carbon dioxide activation has grown tremendously over the last decade. This thesis explores the activity of metal complexes towards carbon dioxide hydroboration and cycloaddition under mild conditions.
