Abstract: Piecewise linear approximation to deformation of a volume dataset whose non-empty region is divided into tetrahedra allows 3DTexture volume rendering in about 3/2sec, modulo texture memory limitations. Reduced versions drawn with fewer slices, which provide considerable feedback, can be rendered at interactive speed. ©1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
