Abstract: Septicaemia and mycotic aneurysm may occur in a patient who is an enteric-carrier of Salmonella typhimurium. We report such a case of an elderly man who presented with chest pain and fatal massive haemoptysis from a likely mycotic thoracic aneurysm. This report underscores the importance of increased awareness of the disease which may allow more frequent and earlier diagnosis.
