In this paper, we consider a task allocation problem for real-time WSN which aims to conserve as much energy as possible while keeping the latency experienced by the network within a specified value. A novel prediction based MinMin heuristic (P-MinMin) search algorithm is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing task allocation algorithms in terms of energy consumption and the capability in meeting real-time requirements demanded by WSN applications. © 2009 IEEE. | Source Title: | 2009 6th IEEE Annual Communications Society Conference on Sensor, Mesh and Ad Hoc Communications and Networks Workshops, SECON Workshops 2009 | URI: | http://scholarbank.nus.edu.sg/handle/10635/129921 | ISBN: | 9781424439386 | DOI: | 10.1109/SAHCNW.2009.5172956 |
