Abstract: NASICON-structured Li1.5Al0.5Ge1.5(PO4)3 (LAGP) is successfully prepared by different synthesis methods such as melting quench, sol-gel and hot press sintering. The influence of crystallization parameters in melting quench method have been systematically investigated and a phase transformation process has been revealed. A low temperature hot pressing process was introduced to recycle the waste LAGP glassy powder from melting-quench and to reduce the grain boundary conductivity of powders from sol-gel process. A LAGP membrane was also fabricated by tape casting for Li-air battery.
