Abstract: In this thesis, we mainly discuss several supersymmetric field theories, which are related to the world-volume theories of M-branes at low energy. In chapter 2, our work is relevant to the world-volume theory of multiple M2 branes, which can be described by the ABJM model. In the presence of a boundary, we succeed in showing that (2,0) or (1,1) supersymmetric WZW models are required on the boundary to restore the gauge symmetry of the ABJM model in N=2 superspace formalism. In chapter 3, we study the 3d-3d correspondence, which originates from a six-dimensional (2,0) superconformal field theory (SCFT) which is known as the low energy theory of the world-volume theory of M5 brane. We establish a correspondence between the three-dimensional SCFT and analytically continued Chern-Simons theory (3d-3d correspondence).
